H-F Tuff Temper (5- Prefix) The Tuff Temper barrel is processed in the same manner and has the same advantages as the 16- Carbonitrided barrel, and is tempered back to a lower hardness of HRC 50 minimum. Likewise, the core and outside surface still retain their lower hardness, strength and ductility. It is recommended for up to moderate abrasion in mild to moderate corrosive environments. The minimum yield strength is 75,000 psi. |
