H-F Grooved Plunger Any of the above plungers can be ordered with shallow grooves spaced about one foot apart along the outside length of the plunger. The groove is cut into the plunger before coating it with the sprayed metal coating so that corrosion resistance is maintained in the grooves. Users have reported longer plunger runs with grooved plungers in abrasive conditions, especially when large abrasive particles are being produced with the production fluid. |
