| Shear Tool The Harbison-Fischer Shear Tool is a straight line pull safety joint release that provides a means of disconnecting the sucker rod string from the pump below the tool. This type of tool must be used to release fiberglass rods since they cannot be rotated. The Harbison-Fischer Shear Tool is tested by lot during manufacturing to assure that it releases at the required pull load. It is available in shear release pull loads of 21,000, 26,000 and 33,000 pounds and in all sucker rod pin sizes. |
